Our client decided to upgrade his tired, 20-year-old pool, choosing a traditional marble plaster surfacea and at the same time installing glass fencing to bring the area up to the current regulations.
It was time for this 20-year-old pool and spa to have an overhaul. We sand-blasted the deteriorating surfaces and repainted with a two-pot epoxy to rejuvenate the swimming pool.
Waterproofing the spa prior to tiling with a glass mosaic was needed as the spa was leaking badly. We were happy to travel to Taupo to do this project as we had previously installed a swimming pool and landscaping package for the Blacks when they lived in the Rodney Region - a great testimony that they wanted us to do their upgrade rather than using someone closer!
This pool was losing water badly. After removing the paint we discovered that a section of the pool had settled and needed to be cut away. We constructed another wall, filled the empty section and replaced the copers and mosaics. The Quartzon Galaxy finish looks great in this setting.
This 20 year old spa was in need of resurfacing with the original Marble Plaster badly etched and coming away from the concrete shell. Cutting out the bad plaster and recoating with Blue Lagoon, Sider–Oxydro, we were able to make it look like new. Re-grouting the Mosaic surrounds also gave this special spa pool a new lease of life.
